Bournville & Kings Heath Hockey Club

Bournville and Kings Heath Hockey Club is a welcoming and inclusive club offering league and social hockey for men, women, and young people aged 6 and up. Whether you're trying hockey for the first time, returning after a break, or looking for a new team, we offer a friendly environment for players of all abilities. Our season runs from September to April, with opportunities to get involved at every level.

We’re more than just a hockey club – we’re a community. New players can enjoy free taster sessions, borrow equipment, and receive tailored support from our DBS-checked, England Hockey-qualified coaches. Our captains and coaches work closely with each player to provide guidance, support, and team placements based on ability and goals. All junior players (under 18) need their own mouthguard and shin pads to participate safely.

Our club boasts six men’s teams, four women’s teams, two Badgers sides, and a thriving junior section with teams from U8 to U18. We’re especially proud of our growing girls' programme, which recently fielded an all-girls U12 team and full junior girls squad for the first time. Many of our senior players have come up through the youth ranks, and we’re committed to nurturing talent at every stage.

Beyond the pitch, we’re a social and family-friendly club based at Kings Heath Cricket and Sports Club. With excellent facilities and a calendar full of events, we create opportunities to build friendships and enjoy sport in a supportive environment.
